Maybe “not all cultures are equal”, but all cultures are evil anyway.
Imagine that there are many evils, and everyone and every culture/person only perceives some of the evils.
The ultimate culture would have identified all the evils. That does not mean it would be more strict than previous cultures. It would be more evolved.
It is easy to identify an evil, yet do so in such a stupid way that more evil is introduced. It’s like, you need to list all the evils in order of their directness in being evil, and find a goldilocks zone which is like a balance, but maybe this is impossible.
To not use evil to handle evil is difficult. It’s like fighting blue fire with red fire.
You can’t evolve unless you don’t use fire, but if fire is your only accessible choice, you’ll use it.
Certain things are obviously “fire” (destructive) and abortion is one of them. It is to deny nature. Someone would only deny their own nature in continuation of pattern. They deny their own nature in order to fit in with a culture which denies their nature. Hence, they use “fire“ against their own offspring.
Imagine using fire against fire, though–then there is no evolution.
War (“fire”/destruction) is just a way of getting socially un-stuck and getting even, but it’s not a way of making societal progress.
People often use evil against evil, or try to reduce evil, but they simply introduce a new evil. For example, there is the evil of rape and coercive control which I think is an underlying reason why women want abortion legal. Even though abortion is bad, its availability makes women feel a justifiable sense of control in a world which treats them a lot like men who just so happen to have the vulnerability of being female.
But simply making women freer can’t just be done with arbitrary tyranny.
People and politicians are so inclined to just use control over others to “fix” problems instead of getting to the root of the problem of why people feel so insecure in the first place.
To kill your offspring is basically to kill yourself. You’d only do that if there’s something wrong with society.
So, to recap: a lot of evils (including what many people consider perfectly fine) are evolved responses to evil, and you can remove evils by being good, because the evil will de-evolve. Rather, it will evolve into a much more efficient state of being.
The question is: what is the origin evil, and to what degree is identifying it possible, and to what degree is it a hallucinatory excuse to move concepts around in one’s mind?
I have thought that the purpose of having ideas that have no (clear) basis in physical reality is to get better at dealing with things in physical reality.
So I can say that evil doesn’t really really exist, but such ideas are useful to train our minds for the real world. Hence, religion and myth and all of that stuff.
So, it’s like, ideas are only real to the extent that they affect material reality.
And is this passage fire? I called all cultures evil. Is that not “fire”?
This passage certainly isn’t water.
At least, fire burns itself out, extinguishing itself as it should, but it would be a shame anyway if water was not used to save material reality.
It is difficult to be good. It is not easy to find a healthy balance in a culture that doesn’t try to help you find it. So, most people end up insane — believing in something wrong, doing something wrong. Bubbling just beneath the surface of every human is sheer insanity and disconnection from reality. We are hollowed minds - hollowed by evolution, as I once put it.
But we can steer our own evolution – starting by agreeing on what is unideal. Abortion is unideal because it is not a sacrifice to celebrate. It is not fun. People would rather not get pregnant in the first place, as opposed to “have” to get an abortion. However, society “could“ easily evolve a normalisation of abortion to the point where it is considered preferable to contraception.
Before I became a “schizo-autist“, I was just an autist, and I thought that, although I wanted children, I could, for some circumstance I can’t remember, ”just get an abortion“.
To legalise is a step towards normalisation, and to normalise is a step towards pressuring. I have seen few, but enough examples of women feeling pressured to get a legal abortion, and men with the thought of pressuring a woman to get an abortion.
Know the craziness of history, and know that it can be repeated, and will be if humanity does not slip past.
PS:
Put it this way. Evil is inefficient. And to grow a human only to kill it is inefficient.
Inefficient in what? In doing good.
Life is good. And aborting 1/3 gen z pregnancies is an inefficient way to make life.
